Dr. Andrés Honrubia Escribano

BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Andrés Honrubia Escribano is Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical, Electronics and Control Engineering of the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM), Spain. He received his degree in electrical engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Spain, in 2008 and Ph.D. degree in Renewable Energy from the Technical University of Cartagena, Spain, in 2012. Since 2008, he has worked for several research entities, such as the University of Castilla-La Mancha, the University of Jaen, the Technical University of Cartagena, Fundacion CIRCE (Centre of Research for Energy Resources and Consumption). As a result, he has published more than 100 articles in journals, books and specialized conferences as well as he has collaborated in more than 110 R&D projects, both public and private-funded. He has also collaborated as External Expert for the evaluation of Project proposals for the European Commission. He has supervised 35 Final Degree Projects and Master Thesis, as well as 3 PhD Thesis. Finally, since 2021 he is the Academic Director for the Vice-Rectorate for Sustainability and Infrastructures of the UCLM, which entails the management of all the energy-related issues of the whole University. His main research interest is the integration of renewable energies into power systems.
