Course Description
Since being invented, digital media has substituted newspapers, printed books, and magazines. Digital media is the art of blending technology and content in a way that is practical, innovative, and user-friendly. This can involve anything from designing and building new products to finding better ways to leverage those already in existence. Digital media also encompasses everything from social media, gaming, and eCommerce, to data visualization and virtual reality, and it is playing an increasingly vital role in almost every aspect of modern life. It continues to influence the average person’s way of life in all countries. The innovations it has introduced in videography, programming, and photography makes digital media quite impactful. Due to this influence, studying digital media is important because it will continue being part of our lives. This course is suitable for any individual who wishes to apply their technical skills to creative work like video games, art installations, interactive music, and artists who have a desire to use programming within their artistic practice. It will impart you with knowledge on how to develop and apply programming skills to creative work. Programming skills are important for developing innovative mobile applications, video games, and digital music. It will teach the technical skills required for writing software that uses images, graphics, and audio and will focus on applying these skills to creative projects. More resources will be offered to students who do not have a programming and photography background.

Photography: Camerawork, lighting, large-format printing, post-production
Videography: Storyboarding, short film creation, color grading, editing
Graphic Design & Basic Programming: Layout design, illustration

Duration
Three Months
Before enrollment for this course, you are expected to make a financial commitment of $150. This commitment covers the tuition fee and issuance of a digital certificate, in exchange for access to educational resources geared towards capacity building. This certificate is endorsed by The Green Institute and partnering organisations. However, kindly note that the certificate will only be issued upon completion of course requirements.
