BIOGRAPHY

Omoyele Sowore is a Nigerian human rights activist, a pro-democracy campaigner, blogger, writer, and the founder of the New York City based online news agency Sahara Reporters. Sowore was also a Presidential candidate in the just concluded 2019 Nigeria Presidential election, under the African Action Congress (AAC) and he is the Initiator of a protest tagged RevolutionNow. He was born on February 16, 1971 and hails from Ondo State of Nigeria.

Omoyele Sowore is a graduate of University of Lagos where he studied Geography and Plannings. He also holds a master's degree in public administration from Colombia University. He teaches Modern African History at the City University of New York and Post Colonial African History at the School of Art, New York.
