Plogging is a new way to jog while cleaning up the planet. It is a trend that began in Sweden in 2016, with the term plogging being a combination of the Swedish word for pick up "plocka upp" and "jogga" (jogging).[1][2] The motivation behind plogging includes reducing the load of plastic litter in our environment, as well as keeping fit in a way that stretches the body through bending and stooping while running.[3] It's also a social exercise, as plogging is usually performed as part of a group run (but don't let that hold you back––solo is okay too). If you love outdoor exercise, enjoy exercising with others, and care about removing litter from our environment, then this might just be the sport for you.
