Course Description

This course covers the design and operation of solar photovoltaic (PV) and solar thermal systems. Students will learn how to design, and apply the knowledge of solar engineering on micro and large scales towards achieving environmental sustainability. Energy efficiency and management will be a central focus of the study, while the way energy systems modelling and analysis can be employed to achieve the former will be expounded.
