Biography
As a technical Specialist at Qatar Green Building Council, Ruba has managed and prepared a variety of sustainability oriented programs, workshops, guidelines and initiatives to promote sustainability and green practices targeting various community entities. Ruba has worked to provide sustainable assessment and consultancy services to drive sustainable performance, efficient operation and promote environment friendly culture. In addition to her work as a technical specialist for QGBC offered programs like Green Key, Eco-Schools and EcoCampus programs in Qatar.
Prior to joining QGBC, Ruba worked for a professional consulting company in Qatar, as a sustainability consultant responsible for providing sustainability consulting services to architectural and construction companies and manage their projects through the LEED and/or GSAS certification processes. Previously, Ruba worked as an architect consultant for USAID funded SABEQ Program in Jordan for the Jordanian Ministry of Planning to propose and participate in the Design of a comprehensive Master Plan for the Jordan Valley Dead Sea Basin for its unique nature. Also, Ruba prepared a building design guideline to be responsive to the culture and climate of the the Dead Sea.
Additionally, Ruba worked regularly on preparing workshops, webinars, publications, guidelines and professional training courses with Jordan and Qatar Green Building Councils covering topics related to sustainability and green buildings.
