Rural women are active players in local and global economies. They play a crucial role in supporting their households and communities in achieving food security, generating income, and improving rural livelihoods and overall well-being. However, these rural women are faced with structural challenges and constraints that relegate them to the bottom of the income and equality index. They need empowerment that goes beyond rhetorical plans.
The Problem
Globally, over 1.1 billion people live without access to electricity, and almost 3 billion people lack clean cooking facilities that are less harmful to human health and the environment. Biogas is a proven and global source of energy. Biogas can provide new sources of livelihoods for women, reduce the risk and drudgery of fuel collection, and lower household expenditures on cooking fuel.
Our Solution
To salvage this situation, kindly contribute a minimum of $10 as we work towards this noble project of distributing 100,000 biogas to rural women in southern villages of Nigeria.
