11. Youth Action Project Grant Scheme, Foundation for Young Australians (Australia)

An initiative of the Australian Government Department of Health and FYA, the scheme will provide grants to projects that support young people (15-24 years) as they navigate and recover from the Australian bushfires, COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing challenges with employment, mental health, and transportation.

Its aim is to support schools, environmental educators and communities who, as part of their learning, are taking hands-on action to address an environmental issue. 13. Cooperative Research Centres Projects (CRC-P) Grants Program (Australia)

The grants provide funding for short-term research collaborations to develop a new technology, product or service, with focus on addressing gaps in Australia’s waste and recycling capability, particularly in regards to plastics, paper, glass and tires.

14. r4d Program launches Second Call for Transformation Accelerating Grants

Second Call for Transformation accelerating grants (TAGs) that allow teams of r4d researchers and implementing partners (e.g. policy makers, the private sector, development practitioners) to make use of the knowledge, tools and technologies developed within r4d projects through translation and implementation initiatives. 20. CLÁR-Funding for Small-Scale Rural Projects (Ireland)

The CLÁR program (CeantarLagaÁrd-Riachtanais) provides funding for small-scale

infrastructural projects in rural areas. CLÁR aims to support sustainable development in

identified areas by attracting people to live and work there. The funding works in

conjunction with local funding and on the basis of locally identified priorities. The scheme is

funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development. It is delivered by local
